What is a Gleason Spiral Bevel Gear?

Curved bevel gears are also called Gleason bevel gears and conical arc gears. It refers to the bevel gear in which the intersection line (ie tooth line) of the tooth surface of the gear tooth and the indexing conical surface forms an arc.
Commonly used in high-speed or heavy-load transmissions, such as automobile rear axle differential gears, parallel helical gear reducers.
Bevel gears are conical gears that transmit motion between two intersecting shafts. According to the shape and direction of the tooth line, it can be divided into straight bevel gears, helical bevel gears, zero degree bevel gears and curved bevel gears. The number of teeth of the bevel gear is Z1=13~30, usually ≥16
Arc gear: A point-meshing gear with a circular tooth profile. Arc gear transmission usually has two meshing forms, the pinion has a convex arc tooth profile, and the large gear has a concave arc tooth profile, which is called single arc gear transmission.
