A chain consisting of a chain plate and a pin is called a balance chain.
Construction of the plate chain:
1) The plate chain consists only of the chain plates and the pins. The chain plates are connected by pins to withstand the tension experienced by the chain plates. The outer chain plate and the pin are an interference fit, and the pin is riveted.
2) The inner chain plate, the middle chain plate and the pin are sliding fits. Through the chain plate, the pin is subjected to shearing force, and at the same time, the inner surface of the inner chain plate of the inner chain plate slides when the chain is bent.
