ANSI standard steel gears are the backbone of industrial power transmission. Donghua manufactures both spur and bevel gears to exacting specifications:
Spur Gears: The simplest and most common gear type, with straight teeth parallel to the axis of rotation. Ideal for transmitting power between parallel shafts with high efficiency.
Bevel Gears: Conical-shaped gears designed for intersecting shafts (typically 90 degrees). They change the axis of rotation and can modify torque-either increasing or decreasing it-while inversely affecting angular speed.

Bevel gears allow you to modify torque and speed through gear ratio selection. The mechanical advantage (MA) is determined by the relationship between torques, radii, and tooth counts:
Mechanical Advantage: MA = τb/τa = rb/ra = Nb/Na (where N is the number of teeth)
Torque Modification: Increasing the number of teeth on the driven gear results in larger output torque.
Speed Relationship: Higher mechanical advantage reduces output speed: MA = ωa/ωb
Typical Ratios: A 10:1 gear ratio for increased torque, or 1:5 for increased speed.
